Nothing has been said about Federal workers' w2 forms. Some workers did not receive their last December check. Will w2s be sent out? During the winter, my husband is an AD for the USDA, not a GS.

1 thing is obvious during the Govt. shutdown & that is Govt. workers need financial planning help. A rule of thumb is to have 6 months of salary saved in an emergency fund. The fact that many workers can't make it financially after only 3 weeks or a month or so is sad. Save more.

This gets complicated. As a Fed employee, technically, we can't accept ANY sort of financial deals or assistance. For example: I desperately need my car serviced and help with a New Year deductible . I've had people offer to help...but, I'm barred from accepting it.
It's also going to effect 10's of MILLIONS of people come FEBRUARY 2019.... If this carries on past January..SNAP BENEFITS for MILLIONS of PEOPLE WHO DEPEND on this Supplement every month, will be STARVING. For MOST, this is their ONLY means of FOOD! TrumpShutdown is the reason!

I just want to point out that when federal workers take these jobs, they are told that should the government shutdown they could be furloughed.
These people don't deserve to suffer because of a wall.
It's sad when the nation has to come together to protect the people from the people who were supposed to be protecting them.
